Gas prices are down by one cent per litre after the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission’s mid-month petroleum pricing adjustments came into effect July 15.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular, unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 128.3 to 129.5 cpl.

Diesel prices decreased by 2.7 cpl, meaning pump prices for diesel now range from 132.3 to 133.4 cpl.

Furnace and stove oil prices also decreased, by 1.8 cpl. The maximum price for furnace oil will now amount to 94.3 cpl, plus tax.

Propane prices, on the other hand, went up slightly for two providers. They rose by 0.6 cents per litre for Superior Propane, by 2.1 cpl for Kenmac Energy Inc., and remain unchanged for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing. Maximum, before-tax propane prices now range from 77.3 to 80.2 cpl.

The commission’s next scheduled price adjustment will be on Aug. 1.
