One 19-year-old woman and four men between the ages of 19 and 22 have been charged in connection with a home invasion in Lower Freetown last week.
The male victim was assaulted and several items items were stolen from his home during the incident, which happened at about 2:30 a.m. Feb. 5.
The victim was treated at the hospital for his injuries and later released.

The Prince District RCMP with the assistance of Summerside police and the RCMP Major Crime Unit arrested three men and one woman in connection with the crime that same day. As the investigation continued, a fourth man was identified and arrested.
All five people were charged and appeared in provincial court Monday.
Two men, both aged 21, and the 19-year-old woman were released from custody on strict conditions and will return to court on March 10.
The remaining two men, aged 19 and 22, will remain in custody for a subsequent hearing scheduled for Feb. 11.
Police Dog Services and the Forensic Identification Section also assisted the Prince District RCMP with the investigation which is ongoing.
