Fire in Cornwall damages home, displacing family of seven

A fire along the Cornwall Road last night about 10 p.m. has damaged a family home.

The bungalow is located two homes north of the Cornwall Civic Centre, Cornwall Curling club complex.

The Canadian Red Cross is helping with emergency lodging and other aid for a family of seven, a husband and wife with their five children ranging in age from 4 to early 20s.

The Red Cross is providing food, clothing in addition to providing a place for them to stay.

No one was hurt during the fire.
