The festival, which will be bringing in a host of celebrity chefs from across Canada, takes place Sept. 1 to Oct. 1.
The new communities include Georgetown, Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. Chef Paul Rogalski of Calgary will provide an evening of storytelling, music and authentic P.E.I. cuisine at venues, including the Kings Playhouse, Georgetown Inn, Edens Gate and Maroon Pig.
Taste of Tyne Valley goes Sept. 21, and that involves Canadian all-star chef Jesse Vergen. Beginning at 6 p.m., the evening will feature a meal showcasing the town’s rich history in farming, fishing and shipbuilding.

“I think the biggest thing that’s grown with Fall Flavours is not just the number of attendees but the Island and the way we have embraced this festival,’’ said P.E.I.’s own celebrity chef Michael Smith.
“It’s fair to say that Prince Edward Island is a very different place today than it was 10 years ago and our expectations of what food is and how it winds into our culture has changed, and Fall Flavours has changed with that.’’
The festival also includes a new VIP experience. The Ultimate Chef’s Table will be hosted at the new RiverShed in Oyster Bed Bridge. The event is being hosted by celebrity chef Corbin Tomaszeski and Charlottetown’s Kyle Panton, the chef at Sims Corner.
John Rowe, chairman of the Island Food Partnership, said no other place in the world has been able to effectively brand its seafood as well as P.E.I. has.
“Fall Flavours highlights this here at home and brings people to P.E.I. to experience it like we get to,’’ Rowe told The Guardian. “It’s truly an amazing thing. It really has helped further cement our reputation across Canada, particularly in the culinary sector.’’
There will be 11 signature events in total and the celebrity chef list also includes David Rocco, Danny Smiles, Chuck Hughes, Lynn Crawford, Mark McEwan and Vikram Vij.
