Charlottetown woman caught stealing clothes gets jail time, community service

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - A woman caught stealing clothes from a Charlottetown department store will spend a month in jail.

Sherri Ann MacPhee, 41, of Charlottetown will also be on probation for 18 months after she serves her time and must perform 50 hours of community service work.

MacPhee was caught leaving Sears on Oct. 3 trying to conceal clothing and a toy that she did not pay for.

She has prior theft convictions.
