Efforts are underway to identify summer staff and complete the screening process for potential candidates for the Charlottetown Police Services.
Subject to being approved, work will commence in April with human resources to fill two vacancies in the department.
Meanwhile, training continues for officers in the areas of cannabis impaired, SFST training, use of force, drug recognition and child sexual abuse, among other areas.
Deputy Police Chief Brad MacConnell also attended a senior police administration course in Ottawa.
