Charlottetown police investigate two incidents of sexual comments made toward women

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Police are investigating two separate reports of a man in Charlottetown making inappropriate comments to women on the same day.

Both incidents occurred on Thursday in the downtown area.

The first occurred at 3 p.m. in Victoria Park when two women reported being approached by a man who made inappropriate sexual comments toward them.

The man is described as white with an almost bald head an no beard, aged 25 or 26, five-foot-eight to five-foot-10 in height, wearing too much clothing for the weather conditions, including a camouflage-style jacket and a dark backpack with light-coloured straps.

The second incident happened at 11:50 p.m. on Queen Street. Two women reported being approached by a man who also made inappropriate sexual comments.

The man in this case is described as white with a shaved head and scruff beard, wearing a dark jacket with a black backpack with bright-coloured lettering.

Both investigations are continuing and Charlottetown police are attempting to locate the suspect or suspects.
