Charlottetown Police Services says it tracked down an allegedly drunk driver in the heart of the city last night.

The force received a 911 call around 11:25 p.m. Wed., Dec. 6 about a possible  impaired driver in the area of Longworth Avenue and Pleasant Street.

After a patrol, officers located the suspect vehicle.

The driver, a woman age 52, appeared drunk and allegedly blew over twice the legal limit on a blood alcohol test.

She will be appearing in Provincial Court at a later date.
