A 30-year-old Charlottetown man has been charged with impaired driving after police saw him driving “erratically” on Water Street.
At 2:25 a.m. on Aug. 20, Charlottetown Police Services stopped the driver and determined he was impaired by alcohol.
He was then arrested and brought to police headquarters for a breath test.
The readings from the breath test showed the driver’s blood alcohol was three times the legal limit.
The accused will appear in provincial court at a later date.
Police encourage the public to report any instances of impaired driving by calling 911.
