CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – A 27-year-old city man is charged with distributing intimate images and child pornography.
Charlottetown Police Services began an investigation March 21 after learning of an allegation that the intimate and pornographic images were being distributed online.
Police said the investigation led to the discovery of several victims, some of whom were not aware that their photographs were being circulated online.
The 27-year-old man is charged with five counts of publishing an intimate image without consent, and three counts relating to child pornography.
The accused was released on conditions, including that he not possess or use any electronic device that can access the internet.
He will appear in provincial court in Charlottetown at a later date to answer to the charges.
