Charlottetown man arrested for forcible confinement, assault

A 32-year-old Charlottetown man has been arrested for assault and forcible confinement following an incident last week.

The man is also facing charges of break and enter and making threats after police responded to a complaint early Thursday morning.

Police received a complaint at 2:06 a.m. regarding an assault that occurred at a Euston Street residence.

Following an investigation, police arrested the man.

Police said the victim, a 41-year-old female, sustained no serious injuries from the incident.

The accused was jailed and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
