Two Charlottetown residents were caught red-handed trying to break into a Queen Street home in broad daylight on Friday morning.
Charlottetown Deputy Police Chief Richard Collins says a resident called police just before 8 a.m. after hearing the sound of shattered glass at the back of their home. He said when police arrived, they arrested a 38-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, both from the capital city.
Collins said both will be facing charges of break and enter with intent.
Police believe that neither individual believed anybody was at home at the time of the break.
Both individuals were known to police.
Nothing was taken in the break, added Collins, because police were able to nab the duo before they gained entry into the building.
