P.E.I. Pride Week is coming up and the City of Charlottetown is demonstrating its support.
The city hall bell tower will be illuminated in rainbow colours – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple – which will rotate during the evenings of Pride Week July 22-28.
A flag raising will take place on Monday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at city hall, 199 Queen St.
Painted rainbow crosswalks are, once again, located at the intersection of Queen and Grafton streets.
The colours represent the rainbow flag, which is synonymous with diversity and is a symbol of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ2S+) pride and the LGBTQ2S+ community.
