Kyle Lawrence Benoit, 26, of Summerside, pleaded guilty to a number of charges when he appeared in provincial court recently.
The charges include breaching his probation order and attempting to steal merchandise valued less than $5,000 from a local retailer, actually stealing items valued at less than $5,000 and failing to attend court as required.
The charges are from Dec. 30, 2017, and Jan. 24 in Summerside.
Benoit was sentenced to serve 130 days in jail and received credit for 18 days he spent in custody since his arrest.
He must also pay $400 in victim surcharges and serve 18 months of probation.
