Alberta man caught driving drunk in P.E.I. gets jail time

SUMMERSIDE – Taryn Douglas MacQuarrie, 22, of Red Deer, Alta., pleaded guilty to one count of driving while also having a blood alcohol level above the legal limit.

The charge is from Nov. 25, 2017, in Summerside.

MacQuarrie was sentenced to serve three days in jail, which he received permission to do intermittently and must remain on probation until his time is served.

He is prohibited from driving for 12 months and must pay a $1,000 fine and $300 victim surcharge.
