CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an Island man who failed to attend court for sentencing on a drug conviction.

Cory Alexander Fouchere, 35, was scheduled to appear in P.E.I. Supreme Court Friday afternoon.

A judge found him guilty last month of possessing methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

Supreme Court Justice Ben Taylor issued the warrant, ordering Fougere to be held in custody upon arrest until April 12 for sentencing.
