Charlottetown woman charged with drunk driving early Saturday morning

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 26-year-old Charlottetown woman was charged with impaired driving after an early morning traffic stop Saturday in the city.

Charlottetown Police Services were conducting routine patrols on Queen Street at 4:03 a.m. and observed a vehicle operating in an erratic manner.

Police stopped vehicle and determined the driver had in excess of twice the legal amount of alcohol in her blood.

She will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
