Police quickly find vehicle that left scene of accident on Passmore Street near University Avenue

A young man tried to escape responsibility for an accident this past week but police were too quick for him.

"Charlottetown Police Services received a complaint Wednesday at 12:28 p.m. regarding a motor vehicle collision on Passmore St., at University Ave., and that one of vehicles had left the collision scene," said a police report.

Police located the run vehicle shortly thereafter and charged the driver with several offences under the Highway Traffic Act, said the report.

The accused is a 19-year-old resident of the Charlottetown area.
