A Charlottetown man who was the victim of a beating that left him with metal plates in his head and a lost eye will be back in court next month facing a drug charge.

Trevor Dale Acorn made a brief appearance before Judge John Douglas in provincial court in Charlottetown Monday where his lawyer asked for an adjournment.

Acorn is charged with drug possession.

On Nov. 24, Acorn was the victim of an assault inside his room at a Euston Street boarding house in Charlottetown.

The attack left Acorn hospitalized for several weeks with serious injuries.

Michael Robert Bryenton and Jeremy Joseph Cummiskey are facing assault charges in connection with the assault.
