Taken to QEH with non life-threatening injuries, reports Charlottetown Police Services

An unresponsive man found lying at an intersection along Queen Street drew Charlottetown Police Services to the scene this past Wednesday.

Island EMS responded to reports about the man, who was transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown with non life-threatening injuries, said the police department.

No further information about the incident was released.

In other police news, Charlottetown Police Services is investigating an alleged assault at an address on University Avenue that occurred at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.

When police arrived, they were informed by a woman at the scene that she had been assaulted by a man. Police arrested the man shortly after arriving at scene.

The 35-year-old Charlottetown resident was jailed and will be appearing in provincial court at a later date.

Both individuals were known to each other. The victim sustained minor injuries.
