Accused in shooting incident to appear in court today

The three men charged in connection with a shooting incident in Pleasant Grove on Christmas Day had their cases adjourned today in provincial court.

Matthew Brian Misener, 30, is charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident after two men were shot.

None of the men were in the Charlottetown courtroom when the lawyers representing them asked for adjournments to have more time to review disclosure in each case.

Misener’s case was adjourned until March 30.

Brodie Joseph McQuaid, 24, and Matthew Lindsey Clarke, 29, have both been charged with break and enter, and assault.  

Their cases were adjourned until March 21.

On Christmas Day, the RCMP responded to a shooting in Pleasant Grove that saw two men shot.

One of the men was treated in hospital in Charlottetown and released, but the other was taken to Halifax for further treatment.
