Charlottetown police arrest 60-year-old man for assaulting an officer

Charlottetown police arrested a 60-year-old man who allegedly hit an officer yesterday.

The officer was responding to a complaint on St. Peter’s Road at 4:18 p.m. and arrested the man for allegedly causing a disturbance.

It was during the arrest that the man allegedly hit the officer.

The man was taken to the provincial jail and is scheduled to appear in provincial court at a later date.
