Charlottetown driver hits ice, then Superior Sanitation truck

Superior Sanitation truck.

Accident occurs on Blue Shank Road near Summerside about 9 a.m.

The driver of the 2000 Honda Accord, a 26-year-old female from Charlottetown, was unable to brake due to ice on the road, and ran into the back of a Superior Sanitation truck at 8:55 a.m. today.

She was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The right side of the windshield sustained damage as it connected with the left-side corner of the truck.

A member of the East Prince RCMP came across the accident minutes after it occurred.

The sanitation truck was not damaged, and its driver was not injured.
