Charlottetown police recently arrested a 38-year-old man for allegedly stealing two tractors, a generator and a trailer from a Cat dealership.

The thefts date back to between 2011 and 2013.

In December 2015, the police received information about the theft and conducted a search of a residence in Lake Verde.

They found the generator and the stolen tractor.

The tractor’s appearance was altered by painting it and using decals from another tractor to make it look like a different make and model.

All of the stolen items were valued at about $60,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court March 21 on charges of theft and possession of property obtained by crime.
