An Environment Canada winter storm warning for most of P.E.I. states that blowing snow should subside overnight.
The warning was issued as the storm approached early Saturday.
“A rapidly deepening low pressure centre near Nova Scotia is deeper than forecast. As a result, up to 15 cm of snow and blowing snow will begin later this afternoon and end overnight,” Environment Canada said in a statement.
Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
