A 28-year-old Stratford man faces drug charges after police found two pounds of marijuana in his vehicle. A subsequent search of his home turned up numerous weapons including a machete and dagger.

Queens, Kings RCMP raid home Tuesday to arrest 55-year-old Scotchfort man

A police raid on a home in Scotchfort Tuesday found marijuana all done up ready for sale.

The raid began around 10 a.m. involving officers from both Queens and Kings district RCMP.

"The home was searched and a quantity of pre-packaged marijuana in varying amounts (was) seized," said a statement issued by the police force today.

The end result was the arrest of a 55-year-old man from Scotchfort. He is facing drug-trafficking charges.

The man has been released from custody and will be appearing in provincial court at a later date, said the RCMP.

"If you have information about this or any other investigation, call the RCMP or Crime Stoppers," said the release.
