Asking Islanders to drive with caution

RCMP headquarters issued a brief statement early today, asking Islanders to be cautious.

"RCMP is continuing to advise that road conditions all over PEI are still quite poor," it said. "Drive with caution."

Confederation Bridge control put restrictions against high-sided vehicles starting at just before 8 a.m. today.

The weather today, says Environment Canada, will show an abnormal trend of the temperature going down through the daylight hours.

It is expected to remain a cloudy day with flurries, a briskly chilly north-west wind gusting to 60 by times and the temperatuers going down to minus 9.
