The site-specific weather forecast received from Scotia Weather Services today indicates wind conditions that may result in traffic restrictions on the Confederation Bridge.

Beginning this afternoon, winds are projected in the 80-90 km/h range gusting to 110 km/h. Forecast indicates conditions will remain the same until approximately 10 p.m. Sunday.

The restriction, which includes automobiles, towing trailers, motorcycles and high-sided vehicles, will remain until the high winds recede.

Meanwhile, Northumberland Ferries Limited has also advised that the weather forecast for Sunday, which also includes wind gusts up to 60 km/h, is not favourable.

Further to a previous notice of service cancellation, the service announced that it does not expect to resume this operating season.
