A 24-year-old man who gave police a fake name is facing drug charges after the RCMP arrested him this week in O’Leary.

On Dec. 15 at about 5 p.m., West Prince RCMP conducted a traffic stop.

The driver gave police a false name.

They found him in possession of stolen property, along with marijuana, Dilaudid, Oxycontin and drug paraphernalia.

He was released from custody, but will appear in provincial court in Summerside at a later date.

The accused is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property and obstructing a peace officer.
