Witnesses, video cameras quickly solve Cardigan break ins

RCMP arrest Dylan Joseph Roche, age, 23, of Stratford, PE.

On November 26 the Kings District RCMP responded to two complaints of residential break and enters at two houses in Head of Cardigan.

These break ins happened during daylight hours while the owners were away from the residence.

Witnesses in the area and surveillance cameras were able to assist investigators in identifying a suspect vehicle. This vehicle was known to police and led to the arrest of Dylan Joseph Roche, age, 23, of Stratford, PE. A search warrant was executed at his residence in Stratford and a large quantity of stolen property was recovered by police.

The subsequent investigation by the Kings RCMP have led to several charges of break, enter and theft as well as charges for mischief under $5000. The investigation is still ongoing between the Kings District RCMP, Queens District RCMP and the Charlottetown City Police. Further charges are anticipated as this investigation progresses.
