Police searching for driver after Stratford hit and run

STRATFORD - Police are searching for the driver of a blue Chevrolet Aveo after a hit and run here on Thursday.

Police said a young man on a bicycle was hit by the car on Wren drive at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The cyclist suffered bruises from the collision.

Officers said the driver was described as a thin woman approximately 20-years-old with a ponytail.

The incident occured when the cyclist had attempted to turn left onto Heron drive. Officers said he had used a hand signal.

However, the Aveo came from behind and passed the cyclist on his left.

The car hit the cyclist's elbow and forced him into the ditch before turning right onto Heron Drive.
