Threats with a knife result in arrest near Charlottetown Mall

A 21-year-old old Charlottetown area man has been arrested following a complaint of an assault with a knife in the capital city Monday night.

Charlottetown Police Services received the complaint at 10:10 p.m.

The caller said there had been an assault and threats involving a knife made at an address on University Avenue, near the Charlottetown Mall.

When police arrived they arrested the 21-year-old for threatening individuals with a knife. He was jailed at the Provincial Correctional Centre and will be appearing in Provincial Court at a later date.

No serious injuries were sustained as a result of alleged assault.
