MONTAGUE — In spite of a tropical storm predicted for Saturday, the 36th annual P.E.I. Street Road show and shine will polish up the chrome this weekend at the old Brudenell park near here.
“The 2014 show is still on and will not be cancelled,’’ said president Wayne MacLeod on the association website. “Weather for P.E.I. on Sunday has changed to sunny and 24 degrees.”
The first show was held in 1979. An incorporated, non-profit organization, the Prince Edward Island Street Rod Association (PEISRA) is comprised of members who are dedicated to the modification, restoration, and preservation of street rod, antique, and special interest vehicles.
The show and shine is the oldest and largest outdoor car show east of Montreal.
