Scales of justice

A young Alberton man was sentenced to four months in jail for twice assaulting his estranged partner one morning in June.

Kyle George William Robinson was sentenced Tuesday on a number of charges following a violent spree.

After Robinson first assaulted his estranged common-law partner on June 28, he once again attacked the person later in the morning, this time brandishing a knife and making death threats.

Robinson will be on probation for two years upon his release from jail. He has been ordered to not have any contact with the victim.

He was also ordered to submit his DNA and he is prohibited from owning any firearms, ammunition or explosives for 10 years.
