Do not be alarmed: this is just a test of the airport's security measures.

The Charlottetown Airport Authority says the public does not need to worry about a bigger police presence at the airport tonight.

The airport, RCMP and Charlottetown police will be running through a security exercise to test the procedures they would follow if a real security threat occurred.

Flights scheduled in an out of Charlottetown this evening should not be affected but some access points to the property as well as the airport terminal building itself may be closed off.
