A Charlottetown busker who drew media attention after claiming to have been assaulted and his guitar destroyed is now being sought by police.

Christopher Wayne (Chris) Nettleton appears on the Charlottetown Police Services web site in a list of wanted people.

Nettleton is described as age 39, height 168 cm (5'6"), and weighing 78 kg (172 lb). He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Police are asking for anyone with information to call the department directly at 902-629-4172 or Crime Stoppers at www.peicrimestoppers.com/

Nettleton has been on the Island for a few years as he lives an itinerant life across Canada governed by addiction and life on the street.

He has a charge on P.E.I. for armed robbery back in October, 2012.

He took to busking at the corner of University Ave. and Kent Street in Charlottetown until March this year when he claims two men smashed his guitar, kicked him in the face and took his money.

Charlottetown Police Services was not available to add further details to the want now in place for Nettleton.
