This summer’s Big Red Music Festival in Charlottetown has added more bands to its growing lineup.

Joining The Killers on Saturday, July 12 are Death Cab for Cutie, Drive By Truckers, Matt Mays, July Talk, Kardinal Offishal, Bahamas, Mic Boyd, and The Town Heroes.

On Saturday, June 28 Macy Kate, Dylan Menzie and Ariel, Zoey & Eli will be performing along with already announced Marianas Trench, Bridgit Mendler, Lights and Crystalyne.

Festival organizers say they are not quite finished. Tickets are on sale now at http://www.bigredfest.com, also at the Confederation Centre of the Arts, or by phone at 1-877-569-7767.

Jeff Squires, president of the Big Red Music Festival, says he’s elated by the third announcement.

“The Big Red Music Festival is one of kind; what other festival can entice so many people? Multi-genre is our strategy and it has been working very well. We can’t wait to host everyone at the second annual festival. Get ready for another great summer, full of color at the Big Red Music Festival,’’ Squires said.
