Kings County Provincial Court, Georgetown.

GEORGETOWN — A Sturgeon man pleaded guilty to a pair of child pornography related charges in Georgetown Provincial Court Thursday and will be sentenced in April.

Judge Nancy Orr requested a pre-sentence report on 25-year-old Daniel Lannigan during court proceedings and adjourned sentencing on the matter until April 17.

Lannigan was charged last October when RCMP conducted a search of his home. He pleaded guilty to possession and distributing child pornography.

The charges were laid following an investigation by the P.E.I. RCMP Major Crime Child Exploitation Unit after a cyber tip was sent to the National Centre for Missing and Exploited children.
