CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Holland College is suspending its golf club management program and its photography and digital imaging program due to low enrolment, but will offer two new courses starting in the fall.

The college said current students in the two programs will not be affected by the suspension of either program. The second year of each program will begin in September as usual.

All affected staff and students have been notified about the suspension of the two programs. The college says it will review both programs to study alternate methods of delivery and hopes to launch revamped programs in the 2019-2020 school year.

“Throughout the year, Holland College reviews its program offerings to ensure that we are providing industry with the workers they need, and students with the education that they want. As a result of this, our program offerings change over time,” said Holland College’s vice-president of academic and applied research Sandy MacDonald.

Holland College recently launched a one-year occupational health and safety technology program at its West Prince campus in Alberton. It’s also launching a two-year occupational therapist assistant and physiotherapist assistant program in Charlottetown in September.

The newly-combined plumbing/pipefitting program also starts in September at the Georgetown Centre.
