A former Charlottetown Islanders player who is facing an impaired driving charge is applying to have it transferred to Ontario.

Adam Marsh’s lawyer recently told provincial court Judge John Douglas about the application to have the charge moved to Ontario and have it dealt with there.

Marsh was playing for the Islanders this season but left the team in November and has since joined the York University Lions in Toronto.

His case will be called again on March 15 in Charlottetown for an update on the transfer to Ontario.
