Winter Love 101: Cross-country skiing
Saturday, noon, Souris Striders Ski Club
Winter Love P.E.I. presents an opportunity to learn how to cross-country ski on the Souris Striders Ski Club’s groomed trails from 1-4 p.m. Shared transportation leaving Charlottetown at noon, returning by 5 p.m. $10 fee ($5 if you bring your own skis) includes rental, lesson from expert members of the Souris Striders, a guided tour of the trails and a hot chocolate post-ski.

Hockey Day on P.E.I.
Saturday 12:30 p.m., Eastlink Centre, Charlottetown

Join The Charlottetown Islanders and the UPEI Panthers for the fourth annual Hockey Day on P.E.I., starting at 12:30 p.m. with the Hockey P.E.I. Initiation Program Jamboree featuring the Charlottetown Jets, Sherwood, Pownal, Kensington and North River. The Charlottetown Islanders take on the Chicoutimi Sagueneens at 3 p.m. followed by a free public skate from 5:15-6:15 p.m. Finish off the day by watching UPEI take on St. FX at 7 p.m. Purchase a double-header ticket from the Eastlink Centre box office for $20 for adult/senior and $10 for student/youth by calling 902-629-6625.

Neighbour to Neighbour Festivity
Saturday, 2 p.m., Hernewood Intermediate School, O'Leary

The Rural Action Centre in Alberton is hosting a Neighbour to Neighbour Festivity to welcome newcomers to West Prince and to create connections between residents and newcomers. The event will showcase cultural food, dance and music. Go West is providing activities for children. The event is held in conjunction with the P.E.I. Pond Hockey Championship, which will be held at the Mill River Resort. See some great hockey and to learn about new cultures. For more information, email [email protected] or [email protected].

Karaoke Bus Party
Saturday, 9 p.m., Montague

The mission is simple: to sing karaoke, laugh, and have fun. The evening begins in Montague where guests will be picked up for the Pauley Tours Karaoke Bus Party. With lots of karaoke songs to pick from, sing your way towards Charlottetown where the bus stops at a couple of pubs The evening will end with a return trip to the mall in Montague at the Tailgate Bar and Grill for 1 a.m. Call Sonya: 902-213-5177 to reserve your seat.
