CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The 34th annual Curl for Cancer in honour of Island patients and their families takes place this weekend.

The event will be held at the Charlottetown Curling Complex on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Curling experience is not needed, and participants can take part in a free 30-minute lesson before their game time.

Non-curlers can also help out by volunteering or donating auction items.

The bonspiel will kick off at 9 a.m. with more draws at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Fundraising activities include a silent auction, bake-sale, 50/50 raffle and trivia with E. Barry Parsons.

Funds raised support the efforts of the Canadian Cancer Society’s P.E.I division.
