CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - Charlottetown police pepper sprayed a man Friday after he allegedly damaged a residence on King Street.

The police said they received a complaint Friday night about a disturbance and when they arrived the complainant told them a male had damaged her residence.

During the arrest the police used pepper spray on the man.

A 27-year-old Summerside area man was arrested for damaging property and jailed at the Provincial Correctional Centre.

He will appear in court at a later date.
