Multiple specialty units of Charlottetown Police Services and the RCMP police dog joined forces following the report of a home invasion Friday.

The call came in from a residence on Fitzroy Street, says a police report issued this morning.

“The case was investigated by general duty members as well as by members of the Major Crime Unit, the Street Crime Unit, the Forensic Identification Unit and was assisted by the RCMP K9 Unit,” said the report.

A 28-year-old Charlottetown man was found and now faces charges of armed robbery with a firearm and breach of probation.

The man is in jail awaiting a court appearance later this week.
