Charlottetown parking restrictions in effect for April 16-17

The City of Charlottetown's public works department expects to be de-icing and/or clearing and hauling snow Monday night and into Tuesday morning, leading to the enforcement of overnight parking restrictions.

The City of Charlottetown's public works department expects to be de-icing and/or clearing and hauling snow Monday night.

Vehicle owners are advised that the overnight winter parking restrictions will be enforced between 11 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday throughout the city at the discretion of Charlottetown Police Services.

Anyone parking on city streets during these hours risks being ticketed and/or towed.

Environment Canada has issued a  freezing rain warning for all of P.E.I. There's a chance of an extended period of freezing rain starting early Tuesday.

By noon, the temperatures might rise enough to convert the system to straight rain.
