WINDSOR, N.S. - Mayors from the four Atlantic Provinces will gather in Windsor, N.S. for their semi-annual meeting Wednesday to Friday.
The Atlantic Mayors Congress is a regional forum for discussion of current issues, fostering collaboration among municipalities and highlighting best practices.
Among the presenters will be Jim Abrahams of the ClimAction Group, who will share up-to-date information regarding the anticipated effects of climate change; Colby Milne, vice-president of Fusion Annapolis Valley, will share success stories from the Valley Regional Economic Network; Robert Fawcett of JD Irving and Rob Johns, with the Canadian Forest Service, will review the current program underway to combat spruce budworm; and Jennifer Taylor, with the Tourism Association of Canada, will share ideas to stimulate tourism from across Canada.
