Charlottetown Police Services arrested a 64-year-old Charlottetown man for impaired driving and issued two roadside suspensions when it was determined the drivers were consuming alcohol.
The police were conducting road checks at Hillsborough and Kent Streets Saturday night.
The driver will appear in provincial court at a later date.
Meanwhile, Charlottetown police arrested a 27-year-old Charlottetown man for impaired driving early Friday morning after a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of St. Peter’s Road and the Arterial Highway.
Police said the man had almost three times the legal amount of alcohol in his blood and was jailed at the Provincial Correctional Centre and will appear in court at a later date.
The driver of the other car involved was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Charlottetown Police Services arrested a 30-year-old woman Wednesday night after reports of an assault on Kent street in the area of Prince street.
The Charlottetown woman, who has not been named by police, will appear in provincial court at a later date. The victim of the assault did not receive serious injuries.
