Tip ‘Er Back will be bringing its talents to the stage at the Irish Hall in Charlottetown Friday evening.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. There will be a 50/50 draw, and a light lunch is served during intermission. Admission at the door is $12 and $5 for children. For information, call 902-314-8840.
Tip ‘Er Back, which plays a mix of Maritime favourites, traditional Gaelic, country and some original music, is made up of Allen Betts, Wade Murray and Clive Currie. Darlene Bradley of Rice Point will appear as a guest, adding her harmonies and performing some of her favourites songs.
Betts, Currie and Murray were members of Kickin’ Country, the popular dance band that played at many dance halls on P.E.I. Betts is not only a singer and musician but also a songwriter. He has penned “And I Owe Life to You”, sung by many, including P.E.I.’s own Dino Dunsford.
The series, which runs until Oct. 19, features Irish, Scottish and Maritime traditional music at the air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible, Irish Cultural Centre, 582 North River Rd.
