Tip Er Back opens summer season on June 24

Tip Er Back kicks off its fourth season of ceilidhs at Afton Community Centre on Sunday, June 24.

The ceilidh gets underway at 7:30 p.m. at Afton Community Centre on Route 19 in New Dominion. There will be complementary lunch served at intermission. The hall is wheelchair-accessible. Admission is at the door. All are welcome.

Consisting of Allan Betts, Wade Murray and Clive Currie, Tip Er Back plays a mix of Maritime, traditional and country music, including original material. The trio has also released its first CD, titled "Old P.E.I.", featuring 14 original tunes.
Tip Er Back lineup of guests, begins with regularly appearing guest Darlene Bradley. From Rice Point, she joins Tip Er Back for the summer ceilidh season. She has won numerous talents competitions with her vocals and songwriting ability.
Also appearing will be fiddler Allison Ling Giggey who has been entertaining crowds in P.E.I., Canada, and the U.K. for almost 20 years. She spenteight summers as a musician at Avonlea Village in Cavendish and her 2003 recording, "Wake the Affections", was nominated for a Music P.E.I. Award.
She will be accompanying dancers from the Reel Talent School of Dance. These dancers are on their way to Mont Tremblay, Que., in July for the World Cup Dance Competition.
