The Harbourfront Players are back onstage in Summerside this weekwith “Maggie’s Getting Married”, a romantic comedy written by popular Canadian playwright Norm Foster.
“ ‘Maggie’s Getting Married’ was so incredibly popular this March when the players performed it,” says Kieran Keller, Harbourfront Theatre’s executive director.
“We’ve had nothing but rave reviews come in ever since it’s run here. It’s really become a ‘fan favourite’ for how funny it is and how well-performed it was, so we decided to bring it back for two more special performances this summer.”
“Maggie’s Getting Married” tells the story of the Duncan family getting ready for their daughter Maggie’s wedding, but trouble and hilarity soon ensue when Maggie’s sister, Wanda, realizes that she knows the groom-to-be a little more intimately than a future sister-in-law should.
“Maggie’s Getting Married” will be presented at Harbourfront Theatre, July 13 and 14, 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the box office, by calling Ticket Pro at 1-888-311-9090 or online at harbourfronttheatre.com.
